Brunei Darussalam Weather Situation:

Brunei Darussalam is still in the Intermonsoon season where active weather condition usually occurs in the afternoon and at night.

Heavy rainfall is forecasted starting tonight (23 November 2021) until 25 November 2021 due to active development of rain clouds over our country. Showers and thundershowers are expected to be heavy and gusty at times with wind gust may reach up to 45 km/h.

Over Brunei waters, sea state is generally slight to moderate reaching up to 1.8 m throughout the week.

Our Advice:

Members of the public are advised to take precautionary actions with respect to the forecasted heavy rainfall. Risks of flash floods can be expected especially at low-lying and flood prone areas as well as near the river banks especially during continuous heavy rain that may last for more than 1 hour and also during high tide. Risk of landslide and falling trees are also expected during showers and gusty condition.

Public, road users and fishermen are advised to always be up to date with the latest weather forecast, advisory and warning issued by Brunei Darussalam Meteorological Department, and to take necessary actions to ensure safety.
