WEATHER UPDATE FOR BRUNEI DARUSSALAM 3RD OCTOBER 2020

General Situation:
Negara Brunei Darussalam is now approaching the end of the Southwest Monsoon. Our country therefore, would still tend to experience unsettled weather conditions with occasional gusty thunderstorms that may coincides with development of cyclonic systems, such as tropical storms and typhoons, over the Western Pacific Ocean and South China Sea.

Brunei Darussalam Situation For The Next Few Days:
Unsettled weather condition is expected in the next few days until the middle of next week. Heavy showers or thundershowers are likely to occur with occasional strong winds with wind gust that may reach up to 50 km/h.

Sea state is expected to be Moderate to Rough, of up to 2.5 meters.

Our Advice:
Members of the public are advised to take note of the risk of flash floods especially at low lying and flood prone areas during heavy showers or thundershowers as well as the risk of falling trees during gusty condition.

Public, road users and fisherman are advised to always be up to date with the latest weather forecast, advisory and warning issued by Brunei Darussalam Meteorological Department, and to take precaution and any necessary actions to ensure safety.

Our department shall continue to monitor the weather conditions and will issue appropriate weather advisory or warnings if and when necessary.
